I hope it makes sense even though there are no words or tutorials or whatsoever written down here--- but if you are interested in knowing what steps I did for each panel i'll be glad to answer your questions here! o/
I used pen tool for the base coloring and also for applying the basic shades in two different layers. And then I used the water tool to lightly blend the tips of the shadow layers so it wouldn't look too hard. And then I created another layer below the shade layer and started applying a lower opacity, soft shaded shadows to give it a gradient kind of look.
For the light source, using the brush tool I added a regular shade across the hair and then added a luminosity layer on top of it to emphasize the lighter small dots of blue light across the hair. And then on the tips of the hair, i also added a finishing touch of water blended luminous layer to lighten the tips of the hair (like the fringes).
Hello! Which program do you use? I line my works on paint tool SAI and to create those smooth lines, I use the brush tool with 80-90 density set up as my lining tool.
My stabilizer is at 8 I think... Sometimes I adjust the numbers depending on how stiff and controlled I want my lines to look like, but most of the time I lower the number (probably around 3-5) if i'm doing a lot of curves like here. o v o )
