His eyes grew wider as he saw the view of the lake that was up ahead. The surface of the water gleamed under the sun's light and he thought that the view felt awfully familiar to him. He felt nostalgic. He stood frozen for a moment but he soon snaps out of his dazed state. As usual, he was alone. Only the sound of the water splashing towards the bay seem to comfort him. Slowly, he turns to walk closer to the lake and stood by the water. His chest started to tighten the longer he stood there. His breath started to grow ragged with every minute passing and soon he started to cough out blood. "...I guess this is a nice place to spend my remaining time..." He whispered under his dying breath. He already knew he was dying as soon as he regained consciousness in this world.
He knew that his body grew weaker and weaker each passing day. He knew that yet he didn't seek for any medical help probably because he didn't know anyone? Or simply just didn't bother, he thought to himself as he finally falls to his knees to the ground. His eyes remained glued to the view of the lake. Somehow, even though he knew his time was nearing its end, he didn't feel scared at all. In fact, he felt more relieved that his pain will soon be over. At that moment, his eyes blurred and this time his entire body collapses down. He takes one final glimpse of the sky even though he couldn't clearly see it and funny even to him, his last thought was about the boy he met today. "I hope he got home
in time.." was his last thought before he breathes his final breath---
but it wasn't really sudden.. ive been meaning on replacing him for a while now
